About

About-
Nina Holz is an emerging artist in the field of ceramics and sculpture.  Her work has figural and biological influence. Born on July 12, 1983 in Duluth, MN, with two loving and also very creative parents and a wonderful big brother, art was always a key part in her household. For many years, her house even had a studio and she did not discover until later that studio’s were not a normal area to have in a common house. She also attributes her passion of biology in her work from working at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine for over 16 years and feels that Science and art and meant to coincide together harmoniously. She graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2012 with a B.F.A in Studio Art in Ceramics and Sculpture and a B.A in Art. She then graduated in 2015 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior  with a M.A in Art Therapy. She currently works as an Art Therapist and Intake Specialist at a treatment center and continues to create her art and be a part of the artist community. When she isn't actively creating and working, she is enjoying life with her fiancé and two little girls, Kaiya, 12, and Lilyana, 5, and striving to make her children’s upbringing as happy and rewarding as her parents gave to her.
